The 71st District
The 71st State House District lies entirely within Eaton County and is just west of Lansing. With much of the district being rural, the county has traditionally leaned to the right of center. However, in recent years, the district is trending more to the center. Theresa became the first democrat since 1964 to represent the 71st district, winning 53% to 47% in 2012.
Encompassing 18 towns and townships, the major population centers include Delta Township, Grand Ledge, Charlotte, and many more beautiful small towns and villages. As a state representative, county commissioner and school social worker, Theresa has created a strong bond between herself and the 71st district. Her loyalty and passion in service is widely recognized and is an invaluable asset for this election year.
