The 39th District
Pam Jackson has knocked on thousands of doors in the 39th District and has spoken to people from all political persuasions. Resultantly, a common set of concerns resonates: education, jobs, and community. Residents clearly support increased funding for pre-K and K-12 so that all students have access to quality education. Affordable post-secondary training or higher education is a top priority. They believe legislators need to create incentives and policies to encourage entrepreneurs and other businesses to make Michigan their home and hire Michigan workers. They believe it is important to diversify our energy portfolio to create jobs and energy in Michigan, rather than sending our energy dollars out of state. The recently imposed pension tax has forced some Senior Citizens to decide between buying food or medication. Residents value strong police and fire departments to make their community a safe place to live. The 39th District's wonderful parks, lakes, and rivers are prized features, and people emphasize the importance of fixing and maintainin our roads and bridges.
Because of Pam Jackson's diverse educational and small business background and genuine passion for the issues, the community has told her that she is their preferred candidate to be their next voice in Lansing.
