Jennifer Suidan grew up in this district and is a proud graduate of Walled Lake Central. She grew up working at her family’s business, Jennifer’s Cafe, where she developed her strong work ethic and pride in the community. She attended Central Michigan University and unlike most of her peers, stayed in Michigan after graduating. She went to work helping to elect hard working elected officials in Oakland County, including serving as the campaign manager for Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner – making her the first woman to ever run a winning, county wide campaign. For the last five years, in addition to her work with candidates and causes, she has worked at the Law Firm of Goodman Acker as a legal assistant working on campaign finance and election law.
- Strengthening our public schools: All children deserve a quality education and Jennifer will work to make sure that public education stays a right for all.
- Investing in our infrastructure: It is long overdue to fix our roads and bridges. Jennifer is committed to working with anyone who wants to get this critical work done in making our infrastructure safe.
- Protecting our water: This district has the most inland lakes of any state house district in the state. We know that it needs to be protected. This means being tough on companies like Nestle who come to take our most precious resource for pennies and preventing fracking.
