Rosemary Bayer, State Senate, 12th District
With a rich background in community service, non-profit activism, board leadership, and entrepreneurship, Rosemary Bayer is not a career politician. She is an engineer, a technologist, a change maestro, a business co-founder/owner, a wife and a mom.
Up to now, Rosemary has sparked significant, positive change in our communities through founding/leading organizations (the 16-year old Michigan Council of Women In Technology Foundation, and her own company: ardentCause L3C), or on Boards (like NEW — Nonprofit Enterprises at Work). But in assessing the current state of Michigan, she believes now is the time for talented, experienced citizens to jump in, and help the state change for the better, grow and thrive.
As an engineer, Rosemary excels at listening, evaluating challenges, problem-solving, applying innovation, and cooperating with diverse people and organizations. Her long technology career is based on analytical, action-oriented skills that can be applied to make our state government far more responsive and efficient. Her priorities include better planning and funding to improve our public education system; better stewardship of our environment; providing affordable healthcare; and fixing our roads and other key infrastructure. It also includes applying technology to government systems to make them work much better for all of us.
Above all, Rosemary is an empathetic fighter. She will fight for children, families, seniors, the most vulnerable among us, all citizens. You can read more about her platform here: www.rosemarybayer.com/platform.
